Hello there!
The Learning Umbrella is owned and run by Aditi, an experienced Speech-language therapist/Audiologist, who has over 16 years' experience working with children across various settings like kindergartens, schools, and therapy clinics. Aditi loves working with children and helping them become better communicators, both socially and academically. She believes that children should LOVE to attend their speech therapy sessions,
and that fun is the best motivator to learning.
Aditi's therapy sessions incorporate focused activities often disguised as games; she works on the child's communication skills while simultaneously teaching them to be conscious of HOW they learn.
She ensures that an open communication pathway is established between members of the child's educational/health team (parents, teachers, psychologists, doctors, and/or other therapists) to facilitate optimal application of strategies and generalization of skills.
The Learning Umbrella is ably supported by the lovely Venetia, who has been with the company since its inception in late-2014. Venetia - in addition to being an experienced tutor, special needs teacher and shadow-support specialist - is an administrative whiz, and helps Aditi run the practice in an organized and efficient manner.
Feel free to give us a buzz or send us an email for an appointment to talk about what we do!
"When you love what you do, the enjoyment shines through!!!"
